A cute little place, and a fun idea. We slept there last night and my wife was absolutely covered with bed bug bites in the morning. Beware!
I love it there... I love it there. It's not a typical stay, it has a commune feel. It's truly a work of area that is constantly evolving. You can see the milky way at night though there is minimal light pollution. Super close to Big Bend. A delicious pizza place is nearby and an overpriced largeish convenience store. I recommend shopping in town to support the community and local business, but there are some things you'll want to bring or buy before you get to La Loma del Chivo. One of the best experiences of my life.

Coolest little spot I've been to in quite some time. I absolutely loved it. I would recommend it to everyone. HOWEVER, there were 2 really creepy guys who I'm not sure were staying for a short time or a bit longer who came flying out of the woodwork after we had built a small fire at dark. They had 2 6-packs of beer and overstated their disappointment in us not being young and single ladies. They also said that they always noticed when newcomers arrived. Apparently they're God's gift to all the passing women. They then overstayed their welcome with us and went on and on intensely about government conspiracies and killed the vibe. Had it not been for these yahoos, this place would've been worth going to as a destination in and of itself.
Cool hostel. Awesome scenery. You have access to all the essentials but there are not many frills.
