Good food and service, if a bit on the pricier side. Lots of taxidermy to ogle at if that's your thing, including an albino bison.
Delicious food, good service. The ambiance seems to match the theme of the restaurant without going too far. It is upscale pricing though, so be aware of that.
Was looking forward to the experience based on all the good things we've heard, but it didnt live up to the hype. Great ambiance, but we ended up returning our $15 cocktails because they were made/tasted more like a $5 well drink. After ordering the waiter returned to tell us they were out of the chicken fried steak, yet it was offered to an important guest sitting behind us 10 min later. The food was also mediocre. Maybe it was just an off night, but it didn't live up to its reputation.

Delicious breakfast and wonderful coffee! Everything we had was so good, from the green chili breakfast skillet to the breakfast sandwiches to the smoothies. We will definitely keep 12 Gage on our must-visit spots in the Big Bend region.
